NIGHT SECTION

Members, friends and prospective members join together to work for two hours each month (first Tuesday) to complete a project. Projects planned for the 2008 - 2009 year include:

Gift Bags for our Girls!
Gift bags will be filled with collected, donated items and presented to the female patients at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital.   Some of the items that will be included:  recent magazines and paperbacks, CD's and DVD's, toiletries and grooming supplies, healthy snacks, stationery, an assortment of greeting cards and postage stamps.

Birthday Party in a Bag!
Large gift bags will be filled with collected, donated items and presented to local shelters.  We will be making bags for children and adults.  Some of the items included:  cake mix, frosting, cake decorations including candles, pretty plates and cups, drink mixes, party decorations, goodie bag items, gift wrap, presents and gift cards.

Helping Handbags
New or gently used handbags will be filled with collected, donated items and presented to women in local shelters and to organizations dedicated to helping women better themselves.  Some of the items included:  toiletries, calendars, wallets, notepads, pens, healthy snacks, costume jewelry.
